So Julio Barthson really thinks that he's going somewhere in the US? Please, he's the biggets wannabe that I've ever seen. You remain African, America looks at you as an immigrant. You can run around campaigning for Obama all you like, but you'll never be on his team.

Penambuco,

To believe that belonging to an Institution tantamounts to conspiracy is a mistaken assumption. There are members of SOBA; and I hope you do not assume here that there is/was some kind of conspiracy for SOBANS to have "high-jacked" West Cameroon; and possibly Cameroon.

The fundamentals are that to become a member of such committees in the US; there must be some requirements to be met by potential members. If you can prove that OBbama and Clinton were not qualified to be members, fine -- it appears one of the reqirements is to be a Senator or some kind of high level elected leader. But if they are qualified, then your conspiracy case is groundless.

All countries have a training ground for their leaders. Whether we agree on that or not is another matter. In England/UK, it is the Old Boys Public School network and the Oxbridge "mafia": whether Labour or Conservative. Are we then to say that the UK is a one Party state?

From your propositions, the campaign Obama ran was a charade? Please, be serious. We all saw how the man fought for the top job. It would be ungracious, wrong and misplaced to downgrade his historic victory: to be dismissed as a conspiracy.

America is not a one party state. On the other hand, they have a constitution that all parties, irrespective of ideology, must be followed. Going around trying to ban the Federal Reserve is not only foolish but offensive to the Federalist Constitution of the US. In addition, Democrats and Republicans have totally different ideologies although they have a convergence. The former, to help the common person by both business and government; the other to support the rich with the pretext that they advance "free market" or capitalism (now dead) -- they have eaten their words by nationalising banks. Both parties support business and free markets which is the founding stone of America.

It is true that there are King makers in America: but so too are in nearly all countries. Yara Dua, Paul Biya, Mbeki etc all were protégés of somebody -- The king makers.

Mr. United States,

It appears you are the one who is in perpetual mental slavery. Common sense tells us that Obama has broken his own chain and many agree that that will help them break it also as a matter of symbolic display. If you wish to continue in a state of perpetual mental stagnation and inferiority, well, that's up to you -- go ahead. We are moving forward.

Nobody says Obama is The Messiah -- the Messiah is Jesus Christ -- nor are we saying that he is the President of Africa. What we are saying is that his being African on his father's side; and keeping in touch with Africa, it is only logical that expectations are high in the continent. But that does not mean they expect him to solve Africa's problems. At least they have a chance of hope which you fail to see on grounds of cynicism.

Mr. Mbua,

you change your opinions faster than Hilary Clinton changes pantsuits. Were you not the same person saying that Obama will "save" Africa? were you not the one saying that he has the executive powers necessary to "liberate" Africa from her bondage? Let me quote from your earlier posts

"United States has helped Japan (writing the present Japanese constitution in 1945), the entire Europe with the Marshall plan, Korea and other countries. What makes you think they can't help Africa?" - Louis Mbua

So you think it would take a Marshall plan to "save" Africa eh? do you know that the amount of loans given to Africa is a hundred times greater than the money directed to the Marshall plan? hahaha. When you make stupid comments like these, I feel hesitant to continue this argument because it is crystal clear that we are on two different levels.

Nobody is saying that Africans should not celebrate Obama's victory. His victory comes with a lot of physical and psychological effects. Young black men can aspire for something great and black women can see their reflection in Michelle Obama, a fellow black woman, educated, powerful and confident, sitting in the white house.

However, there should be a limit to our celebration. We should not foolishly start clapping our hands and saying that suffer don finish. Which finish? Obama's loyalty is fully and entirely in America. If he has to exploit all of Nigeria's oil at the expense of the Natives (WHICH HE WILL) to reduce the gas prices in America, HE WILL, HAVE NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. If he has to continue to tap into Middle East oil resources at the expense of the Natives (which he ALSO will), he will not hesitate to do it.

Obama's victory should encourage Africans to start looking for their own Obama, not walking around and foolishly saying that Obama's father is from Kenya so he will help Kenya. What does Obama know about Kenya? how many times has he been there? IDIOTS!!
